It’s a tiny abandoned church but it was so beautiful. The architecture in the city was fabulous and the new buildings were interwoven among the war damaged ones. Fascinating place to visit. I’ll definitely be going back.
Lovely pictures Shelley – I was out there in the early 1990’s with an architect friend who was involved in the restoration work following the artillery damage from the war. A beautiful place indeed and I always said that if I were ever wealthy enough to buy a retreat just for writing then it would be somewhere on the coast in Croatia!
