Motivational Advent Calendar: Door Number 7 #PersonalDevelopment #Travel

Welcome to your Motivate Me Advent Blog Calendar!

Throughout December, I shall be opening a new advent door on a personal development technique or tip that you might wish to try that day or save for the New Year.

Door Number Seven: Pack a Bag

I was fortunate to have travelled to some incredible locations this year, and I have a host of new places, both at home and abroad, that I want to add to my travel bucket list for 2019.

There’s something incredibly uplifting about packing a bag and setting off for pastures new. Whether it’s a week away with the family, a long weekend with friends, or a solo trip, you’ll make new memories, meet new people, and fill your creative well.

Write a list of all the places you’ve ever wanted to visit – it might be as far away as Thailand, or as near as your local city centre. Do some research about the trips you’ll take while you’re there, the hotel you’ll stay in, and how much it’s going to cost to get there. Research as if you are about to book this trip of a lifetime – once you’ve done that work out how much you’d need to save for this trip, how long it will take you, and then add a date into your calendar. Give yourself a travel goal to work towards.

Where have you always wanted to visit in the world? Why?

    1. Ooh, tell us more! Planning a trip is half the fun in my opinion. I think I was a travel agent in another life 😉

  1. I don’t like travelling. I don’t like airports AT ALL – not scared of flying, just don’t like it – and I don’t have a list of places I want to visit. Oh dear!

    1. Sometimes we can find the most beautiful places on our doorstop! I live a twenty minute drive from Kenilworth Castle and love popping over for lunch or a walk around the grounds – no passport required! 😉
