Welcome to your Motivate Me Advent Blog Calendar!
Throughout December, I shall be opening a new advent door on a personal development technique or tip that you might wish to try that day or save for the New Year.
Door Number Five: No Regrets
Once upon a time I remember regretting ever meeting my ex-husband, but then I looked at my three beautiful children and realised I didn’t regret a second of being on that path. We’ve all felt some regret at one point in our lives, whether it’s over a situation, circumstance, or outfit choice (I was a 80s teen!).
It’s a well-documented fact that people on their death bed only regret the opportunities they didn’t take. They certainly didn’t regret leaving work on time to get home to their families!
What can we learn from this?
- Perhaps it’s time to take charge of your life and fill it with worthwhile memories.
- Have faith in your abilities.
- Stay in touch with friends who resonate with you on a positive level.
- Be courageous.
- Eat the cake, drink the drink, and kiss the boy (or girl)!
Think about something you want to do or somewhere you want to visit and imagine what it would be like to never achieve it – do you want to feel regret? Then what are you going to do about it?
