Motivational Advent Calendar: Door Number 12 #Meditation

Welcome to your Motivate Me Advent Blog Calendar!

Throughout December, I shall be opening a new advent door on a personal development technique or tip that you might wish to try that day or save for the New Year.

Door Number Twelve: Meditation

At this time of year, you may find yourself more overwhelmed, stressed, and busier than normal. Focusing on calming your mind will help you find peace within thechaos.

I’ve used meditation for many years and find it to be one of the best methods for creativity, focus, and tranquillity.

There are a variety of ways you can include meditation into your holiday season – and your life! I use the Headspace App which lets me choose a daily meditation from the huge variety of themed sessions. It takes me ten minutes in the morning to run through the guided meditation, and yet I feel uplifted all day long.

If you would rather find your own way, then I suggest you start small and sit quietly for a few minutes. Close your eyes if you can, take a slow deep breath in through your nose and release it through your mouth, repeat this three times. This is a great way to ground yourself if you’re feeling frazzled. Try it today and see how you feel.

Have you tried meditation? Would you like to end this year feeling calmer and more in control? Meditation can help you achieve that. Maybe it’s time to look at including meditation into your daily routine.

  1. I love this! (Are you going to link to previous ones? In a compilation post, perhaps?) What a lovely idea. Will catch up on the others. <3

    1. Thanks, Sarah. I was going to add all the previous links at the bottom of each post but the links list was longer than the actual blog post LOL. As I’m not sharing any other content on here apart from the blog advent calendar you’ll find all the posts in order on the website. A compilation post at the end is a great idea though so thanks for that xx
