Door Number Twenty: Positive Self-Talk
You’ve spent all year telling yourself that you’re not worth it, don’t deserve it, can’t do it, or will be laughed at if you even try. How has that worked out for you? Did it help you achieve your goals or are you still stuck at the beginning wishing you had the courage to start?
Our negative inner chatter can prevent us from living our most authentic life and achieving some of the incredible things that are waiting for us. STOP!
Make a pact that you’ll only say positive things to yourself from now on. Habits are hard to shift so don’t beat yourself up when a ‘I don’t deserve to be happy’ pops into your head, simply notice it and then say out loud ‘I deserve every happiness that comes my way.’
Replace all that negative self-talk with positive affirmations and see how your confidence grows and the opportunities begin to appear.
Write your favourite affirmations on a post-it note and keep them handy. ‘I am successful’ or ‘I am happy in my skin’ or ‘I am abundant in life and love.’
