How To Create a More Fulfilling Future Week #2

NEW BLOG SERIES: How to create a more fulfilling future.
How To Create a More Fulfilling FutureIf you missed the first post in this new series then panic not – you can catch up HERE.
As promised, I will post additional questions for you to answer every Monday. You might want to gather them all together like a personal workbook, or just pop in and out to answer the questions that appeal to you.
Don’t think too hard about each question, just go with the first thing that pops into your head. Some questions will amuse you, others will test your boundaries, but all of them will bring about a sense of fulfilment.
Each week I’ll share the link to the previous questions so you can collect them as you go and don’t have to worry if you miss a week. They may seem random in their order, but if you do choose to follow the entire series, then you’ll hopefully get a fully rounded picture of your life, goals, and aspirations for a fulfilling future.
Grab a notebook, your journal, or open a new word document and record your answers so you can refer to them when needed. The questions below allow you the freedom to dream. Don’t hold back, write down exactly what you would do in each scenario and remember this is your challenge so leave your mum/dad/wife/husband/teacher hat at the door and be honest.
Questions for week #2:

  1. What would you do if you had a spare hour?
  2. What would you do if you had a spare afternoon?
  3. What would you do if you had a spare day?
  4. What would you do if you had a spare weekend?

Join me next Monday for more questions.
As always, your responses can be as private or as public as you choose. Feel free to leave your answers in the comments below. If you’d rather not, then simply share how you find the selection of questions, if you can answer them easily or if you struggled, and what you have chosen to do with the answers that came up for you if anything.

  1. What would you do if you had a spare hour? I would sleep!
What would you do if you had a spare afternoon? I would pamper myself
What would you do if you had a spare day? I would get housework out of the way then write
What would you do if you had a spare weekend? I would find time to spend with my dearest friends and family that I don’t get to see often.

    1. Great answers, Ritu. I love that you include time for yourself. It’s amazing how many people will use their spare time to the total benefit of others (good and bad). Helping our family and friends is certainly not a bad thing, however, it’s a valuable lesson for us to learn that looking after ourselves can be a priority. 🙂

  2. I’m still faffing over the first 4 questions (but I only discovered the post yesterday). I must ask my mother how long she was in labour with me! I have a feeling I didn’t rush into being born! ???? She was probably a few weeks overdue too!!

  3. What would you do if you had a spare hour? Tidy the house! It’s a bit neglected at the moment!
What would you do if you had a spare afternoon? Take a stroll with the pooch and have some time away from the computer.
What would you do if you had a spare day? Read more of my books and/or write some more blog posts!
What would you do if you had a spare weekend? Go away to a European city that I’d never been to before with my husband. There’s many I’d love to see!

  4. Lovely post Shelley! Just started following you 🙂
What would you do if you had a spare hour? I’d do absolutely nothing! Just sit down and give my mind a break.
What would you do if you had a spare afternoon? I’d probably read one of the books I’ve been wanting to.
What would you do if you had a spare day? I’d spend some quality time with my family 🙂
What would you do if you had a spare weekend? I’d take the time to do some extra writing.

  5. I’ve just realised I didn’t answer the questions from Week 2. So here you go!
    1. Nap or read. Maybe read then inevitably fall asleep
    2. Bake
    3. If I’m up for it, a nice walk somewhere where I haven’t been before. A mini adventure if you will.
    4. Visit my best friend who lives in Portsmouth. We live 300 miles away from each other and as you know, in the UK that’s a long way away. We’re forever saying to each other “If only we lived closer to each other…”
