Five Minutes With… Jennifer from @unfoldandbegin #Blogging #FiveMinutesWith

Welcome to Five Minutes With… a new feature where I invite bloggers of all genres to tell us a little about themselves and their blogging journey.
Jennifer Unfold and BeginToday’s blogger is Jennifer Koshak who blogs at Unfold And Begin.
Q1: When and why did you start blogging? Which platform do you use?
I started blogging twice. Once around 2009, I started a short-lived blog called Unfold And Evolve that was supposed to be about my yoga practice. Although I loved writing, I was still very shy about sharing so after about a month of blogging…I shut it all down. I didn’t try again until 2013 with Unfold And Begin. I’m self-hosted on WordPress and use a Divi theme from Elegant Themes.
Q2: What topics/themes do you blog about? Do you ever deviate from that theme?
Mostly I blog about starting over/trying new things and creativity. I’ve also written about our travels, life with my mother (we live with my 98 year old Mother) and I’ve also written about goal planning and vision boards.
Q3: Which of your blog posts is your favourite and why do you like this one so much?
My favorite post is one I wrote last year about my fear of sharing my blog. Until that post, no one in my family even knew that I was blogging. It was the big reveal moment because even though I was blogging and sharing myself with my readers and my blogging community, I hadn’t shared it in my personal life. That was the moment of truth. This Is My Ultimate Fear still gets a lot of views because having some type of fear is something we all share.
Q4: Do you have a top tip to share for any new bloggers that might be reading?
Blogging isn’t just about writing and having readers. It’s about having and being involved with a community. Find that community. You can do that by reading and commenting and sharing the blogs you like and by finding communities on FB that you like. I’ve joined and left a lot of FB groups because they didn’t create a community. You need to find one that makes everyone feel included and that you feel comfortable with—that is your home.
Q5: What’s your favourite social media platform?
That’s tough. I like a lot of different platforms for different reasons, but the one I appear to spend the most time in is Facebook.
